COP30 Brazil Belem

At COP30 in Belém, Brazil, Yanayi Haki Afriqya stood with African youth in spaces where the future of our planet is being negotiated. From the heart of the Amazon, lived experiences from African communities were carried into conversations, side events, and direct engagements with decision-makers. The message was grounded and urgent: frontline communities cannot afford delay. The advocacy pushed for strong climate adaptation, a just and inclusive transition, and fair, accessible climate finance that reaches the people who need it most. This presence helped ensure African youth were not only acknowledged, but truly listened to shaping climate solutions rooted in justice, dignity, and real community needs.
